Introducing himself, Matthew writes:

I was born and raised in Abilene, Texas. I had the privilege of growing up in a family that loved the Lord and served Him faithfully. By God’s grace I accepted the gift of salvation at an early age and throughout my childhood I grew in my love for the Lord and the local church.

After graduating from Abilene High School in 2001 I moved to Springfield, Missouri to attend Baptist Bible College. After graduation I remained in Springfield to attend Baptist Bible Graduate School.

While in college I met the love of my life, Michelle, and we were married on August 2, 2008. Michelle was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio and she came to know the Lord as a teenager. Michelle graduated from Baptist Bible College in 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music Education.

I have always had a passion for the ministry of the local church and I can’t think of anything more exciting than church planting and pastoring. I pray that God will receive the glory through my life and ministry.
