It is Sunday, May 22, 2011, and yesterday was not judgment day! In light of the false predictions, and some not so Biblical reponses to it about the end of the world and the return of Christ, this Sunday’s message titled “Jesus is Still Coming Soon” is taken from 1 Thessalonians 5:1-11. In this message we learn a few things.
Even if Jesus had come back May 21, Harold Camping would still be a false teacher. Date setting is only a minor part of his overall doctrinal scheme that in itself is wrong on so many points.
No one knows the day or the hour, except the Lord. And yes, Jesus did not know the day and hour when He said He didn’t in Matthew 24, but be assured He knows now!
Since no one knows the day or hour we are told to watch and expect His return.
Sadly, it seems that too many of us love this world too much and don’t live in a way that proclaims that we really do want Jesus to come back soon.
These are just a few points from our message this morning. To learm more about what the Bible tell us about Jesus coming quickly – and to test ourselves to see if we really believe it, liten to this mornings message here:
